About

I want you to get excited about who you are, what you are, what you have, and what can still be for you. I want to inspire you to see that you can go far beyond where you are right now.

~Virginia Satir

You’re here for a reason. Therapy is all about YOU!

Reinventing yourself starts with stepping outside of your comfort zone.

As messy as it sounds, the only way out is through.

You’re a powerful, courageous, introspective person who cares about making the most out of life.

You’re motivated and ready to step out of the role you’ve been playing and begin loving your own story.

But just like the energy vortex that exists behind an outlet, that power is useless – until you plug into the power source.

Plug it in.

Dust off your old script. Break your old habits. Change your patterns.

Have difficult conversations. Get rid of your “timeline” stress.

Overcome your fears. Face your vulnerabilities.

Invest in your love life. Lean into healthy relationships.

Reframe your anxious mind. Embrace change and discover your true potential.

Each session with me is an invitation to reclaim your life and rewrite your future.

There’s a long-standing debate about what truly inspires change in individuals, but I’m certain of this:

Curiosity is the driving force behind meaningful self-improvement.

The more captivated you are with your emotions and behaviors, the less likely you are to feel overcome by them.

Therapy is the first step to helping you start living a life of your own design – one that is true to your authentic self.

The life you wanted. Not a life you got stuck in.

Achieving your full potential requires a lot of self-knowledge, self-control, and – let’s be honest – hard work.

When we work together, we’ll explore how to become your happiest, most productive, most loving version of yourself.

By leaning in, you’ll start facing who you truly are, and you may even find some surprises…

Being real = living fully.

You’re not just creating your own happiness; you’re showing other people it’s possible.

Everything that goes on around you affects what goes on within you.

Relationships can be hard because you often seek from others what you are not giving yourself.

Recognizing the beauty in your journey is how you show up for yourself.

YOU are your BIGGEST investment.

Emotions are energy in motion, (e-motion). When you allow yourself to experience and feel all the painful emotions that show up, you’re able to process and move through them quicker. Otherwise they’ll get stuck, and so will you. Patterns might emerge as you explore what hurts and why.

Together, we’ll discover what it is you’re willing to struggle for – and learn how to leave the rest behind.

As a marriage and family therapist, I’ll view you within your embedded systems (families, friendships, romantic relationships and the larger society) in which you live and love, and how that influences your experiences, feelings, and behaviors.

Your voice is important, and your experience is valid. YOU are your own expert.

As an interactive therapist, I’ll employ various schools of thought to help you, including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Psychodynamic, Emotionally Focused (EFT) and Mindfulness-Based therapies.

I hope you’ll find our work together effective, meaningful, and life affirming. Together, we’ll work both in the here and now as well as draw from a more historical perspective.

My passion is to empower you to realize just how much you know about your experience and how you can impact change going forward.

I’ll listen closely, offer a fresh perspective, create a safe space for growth where you can feel understood and accepted.

What motivates me?

The pure joy of seeing you actualize YOUR potential – your transformation. YOU inspire me.
I feel lucky to be a part of your path to fulfillment.

About Me

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and English. I furthered my training by graduating Summa Cum Laude from LIU Hudson with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Working in a variety of outpatient medical health settings, I’ve gained clinical experience by providing care for young adults and adults with a range of diagnoses from anxiety and depression, relationship issues, mood disorders, trauma, and substance abuse.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of New York, I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and The Gottman Method. I’m working toward becoming a certified Psychodynamic Therapist.

OK, but who are you, really?

Here’s the real deal:

My deep sense of compassion for others leads me to listen to people and be there for them. These factors, plus my own quest for personal growth and self-inquiry, led me to become a licensed psychotherapist.

I’m a big travel, music and nature enthusiast. I’m also a lover of animals, especially my adorable dog Charlie, who often joins me in the office.

To practice mindfulness, I use the forms of meditation and yoga.

I also engage in self-care through laughing, working out, hiking, spending time with family and friends, reading, and eating lots of pizza!
